ProWorld provides comprehensive programs from before you leave home to even after you come back. Our staff will work with you every step of the way to ensure a successful development project, cultural experience, and overall program.
Study Abroad

    • Jacksonville University in Peru
    • University of Belize in Belize
    • Western Washington University in Mexico

  • Intensive one-on-one or small-group Spanish classes (Peru and Mexico only)

  • $400 US per student of development project funding

    • Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru
    • Trips to the jungle, snorkeling the Caribbean in Belize
    • Trips to Mexico City, Veracruz or the Pacific Coast in Mexico

NGO Internship
Personalized and guided project experience based on the needs of the community and skills of each volunteer
  • Extensive Pre-Program contact and personalized proworldsc.org
  • 2 to 26 week program
  • Intensive orientation
  • Weekly project support and contact with ProWorld staff
  • Interns live in communities near a ProWorld office and 4 to 18 other NGO Interns
  • Full room and board with a host family
  • Spanish classes (Peru and Mexico only)
  • Individual or small group development projects
  • Funding of your development project
  • Weekly adventure and cultural experiences
  • 24 hour emergency contact with staff
  • Daily access to ProWorld Offices, meeting and lounge spaces
  • Health and Travel Insurance

Field Internship
Remote individual project placements based on the needs of the community and skills of each volunteer
  • Extensive Pre-Program contact and personalized proworldsc.org
  • 1 to 12 month remote placements
  • Intensive orientation
  • Periodic staff support and site visits
  • Volunteers live remotely 1 to 4 per community
  • Full room and board with a host family
  • Individual development projects
  • Funding of your development project
  • 24 hour emergency contact with staff
  • Access to ProWorld Offices, meeting and lounge spaces
  • Health and Travel Insurance
Field internships do not include Spanish classes or weekly adventure and cultural experiences

Faculty Led and Private Group Programs
Customized group oriented project, living, and adventure experience

  • Groups of 8 or more
  • 1 to 4 week program exclusive for your group and you choose the dates
  • Pre-trip organizational support and materials
  • Help marketing the program with your organization
  • Travel arrangements
  • Intensive onsite orientation
  • Coordination and funding of group or individual development projects
  • Group or homestay living with full room and board
  • Daily staff support and contact
  • Local adjunct professors on request
  • Curriculum development, and available classrooms and offices
  • Weekly adventure and cultural experiences
