ProBelize Semester Overview
ProBelize and The University of Belize share in a vision of empowering university students to make valuable contributions in Belize through the study abroad volunteer program. The program offers students a rewarding study abroad experience while contributing to the community through various development projects throughout the country.

Professors offer authentic and insightful perspectives into Belizean environment, history and culture. Professors are Belizean, English speaking, and highly qualified with the common goal of deepening students' insight and understanding of Belize. Community development projects, fieldwork, homestays and adventure activities complement University classes to create an integrated program experience

The Program Includes:
  • Intensive group orientation
  • 15 Academic Credits, Tuition Fees, Books, & Transcripts from UB
  • Airport pick up and drop off at program site
  • All onsite program related transportation
  • Full room and board with a local family
  • Spanish and academic courses
  • Group and individual development projects with funding and staff support
  • Visits to archeological sites, weekend adventures, and cultural activities
  • Daily staff and professor support

Program fees do not include: international airfare, passport or visa fees, insurance, independent travel during the program, or personal expenses. Program fees may change without notice due to currency exchanges and the unique nature of international travel
